As of today, we're registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an investment adviser.
I started the practice in 2012. Fourteen years later, we've crossed over $100 million in assets under management.
We didn't start with an inherited book, acquire another practice, or use paid marketing. We grew one client at a time, mostly through referrals.
I'm proud of that.
I'm also thinking about how long we've known some of our clients.
Some came to us as Googlers earlier in their careers, trying to figure out RSUs and what to do with a growing position in Google stock.
Over the years there were promotions, refresh grants, homes, kids, career changes, and plenty of financial decisions along the way.
Today, some are retired. Some have started businesses. Some are living overseas. And some are still happily working in tech.
It's pretty cool to have seen that whole arc.
They built the careers and the wealth. We just helped with the financial decisions along the way.
